Chelsey & Alex’s wedding at RM Champagne Salon in Chicago was fueled by the couple’s desire to provide their guests with an unforgettable wedding day experience!
One of the recurring themes that you will notice about Chelsey & Alex when you watch the film of their wedding day above, is that they both refer to one another as each other’s best friend! Seriously, how sweet is that?! The foundation of their love was built on friendship! Their inner circle of friends also played a big role on their wedding day at RM Champagne Salon. Their wedding planning, florals, hair & makeup, and even their officiant were all roles that were fulfilled by close friends of theirs! Just when you thought they couldn’t get any cooler, Chelsey & Alex also made sure that their ceremony and reception time was back to back so that their guests were not left feeling hungry and had plenty of libations to get the party started and keep it going. Oh yeah, and the groom and his crew totally ubered from their getting ready location to the spot of the first look!

Chelsey and Alex also told me that they picked their Chicago wedding venue based on how it’s intimate vibe matched their style perfectly. The bride and groom also skipped out on the pomp and circumstance of having a traditional wedding cake and there may even have been a cooler full of goodies for Chelsey and her girls in their getting ready suite!

What’s your story? What are ya’ll into? How do you spend your days? Whats in important in life? etc, etc…
We met through his sister (the maid of honor) who became my first friend I met when I moved to Chicago 8 years ago. We were always friends but had significant others. Finally worked itself out 3 years ago – timing is everything! You can find us hanging out at home on our balcony or binge-watching murder mysteries and documentaries. We also love to travel!
Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?
So we can look back and view it for years to come!!
The proposal? …Tell me everything (all the gushy details)
We had dinner at our neighborhood go-to and came home to tons of candles/roses/photos of our travels. He had all of our closest friends waiting on our top floor to celebrate.
RM Champagne … What made you choose this venue over all others?
We wanted a small intimate restaurant venue and it fit our style perfectly. Also, we loved that a portion is outdoors.
What experience do you want to give to your guests?
FUN high energy! Having the ceremony/dinner for close friends and family so giving them that one-on-one intimate time (whatever to appease them right?) and additional 80 guests will come after dinner for the party (the best part). We are having a cigar roller and late night taco truck from Big Star. Basically, want everyone to get drunk and have a good time.
