What’s your story? What are ya’ll into? How do you spend your days? Whats in important in life? etc, etc…
Yikes this is a tough one! Jimmy and I met briefly in college and then reconnected after we graduated when we found ourselves working in the same office in Chicago. We worked together for about a year and had built a strong friendship until Jimmy asked Michelle out in June of 2014. We quickly bonded over our love of music, wine, exploring our city and our family values. We love dancing on the weekends and hanging out with our large and always exciting families. Every morning Jimmy cooks breakfast and every night Michelle cooks dinner. The most important thing in our lives are the people who we love.
Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?
So that we can watch it every year and share it with our future kids and loved ones. To be able to re-live this day fore many many years to come.
Why did you pick us to create your wedding film?
You were referred to us through Thumbtack and we loved how clean and creative your style is!
The proposal? …Tell me everything (all the gushy details)
December 3rd, 2016 – I had to make sure that Michelle took the day off to “get lunch with my mom”. We woke up that morning and Michelle accidentally broke a lamp which she insisted we replace because my mom was coming over. So she thought. I ran to Home Depot in a very stressed mood as this day was not going to plan. I brought the lamp home and assembled it as Michelle was getting ready. I was visibly stressed and it worked as a great opportunity to ask Michelle to go on a walk to blow off steam. We walked to our favorite spot in Chicago, the North Avenue Beach Pier. During the walk I held her hand tight so that she would stay on my left and not feel the ring that was in my right pocket. I felt very confident that everything would go smoothly until we got about 100 ft from the pier where I would ask her. I had an entire speech planned out but my mind went blank and I had tunnel vision when we arrived to the location. I got to one knee and all Michelle could repeat was oh my god, oh my god, oh my god and all I got out was “Will you marry me?”. She said yes and we hung out at the pier for a while, just us, no one else knew at that moment that we were engaged. We walked back to the apartment where I arranged for all of our family to be there and had a fun day full of celebration. After celebrating with our families all day, we left everyone and I took her to our favorite dinner spot, Fig and Olive to celebrate the rest of the night as fiances.
St. Joe’s Farm. What made you choose this venue over all others?
Jimmy’s Aunt and Uncle own the venue which is a huge plus. We have been to a couple family weddings here and we love how beautiful the venue is.
What experience do you want to give to your guests?
