Lindsey & Christopher’s Wedding day at Ignite Glass Studios in Chicago was the epitome of fun!
This fun-loving couple wanted to provide their guests with an experience that was full of ‘so much fun they couldn’t handle it’!
For the bride and groom, their fun themed wedding all began when choosing Ignite Glass Studios in Chicago as their wedding venue. They loved the idea that the venue provided a rooftop space, a garden, and a reception area.
The multiple spaces within their venue allowed Lindsey & Christopher to plan several different experiences for their guests throughout the day.
Let’s start with the getting ready suites!
The bridal suite was stocked with chilled champagne on ice and rows of flute glasses. The groom’s getting ready suite included a virtual reality headset!
Once it was time to walk down the aisle, in the gardens of Ignite Glass Studios in Chicago, the groom first emerged wearing his sunglasses as the beat of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s ‘Next Episode’ played in the background!
At the end of the aisle was a backdrop wall filled with glass blown flowers where Lindsey and Christopher promised to make each other happy for the rest of their lives.
The rest of their wedding day at Ignite Glass Studios in Chicago went a little something like this….. Cafe lighting all around as the couple and their bridal party did shots of tequila, a rooftop bar with a fun photo booth during cocktail hour, all of the guests on the dance floor; and at the end of the night, to say goodbye to the newlyweds, a sparkler wedding exit to top it all off!

What’s your story? What are ya’ll into? How do you spend your days? What’s important in life? etc, etc…
We met the traditional way…on an app of course! We’ve been together for 3.5 years and have an amazing dog, Nellie. Chris proposed at the apple orchard we went to on our 4th date – so romantic 🙂 We spend our days, when not working, together with our pup usually around Lakeview – hopefully walking around Lincoln Park enjoying the weather and the lake. What’s important to us is being happy and healthy and loving each other as much as we possibly can!
Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?
I want us to be able to see our entire day in movement – not just in stills. The laughter, the expressions, the conversations, the tears..all of it.
Why did you pick Hunter Floyd Films to create your wedding video?
I loved your look – no cookie-cutter videos – they were very authentic to the couple.
The proposal? …Tell me everything (all the gushy details)
Every year we go to an apple orchard around Chris’ birthday (Oct 20th) and this particular year we went back to the original orchard of the last 3 years. He made me wait for it! We were in the middle of the corn maze and he got right down on one knee in the middle of the mud and asked me to marry him. Our best friends were elsewhere in the maze and we met in the middle to celebrate!
The Venue, Ignite Glass Studio, Chicago … What made you choose this venue over all others?
Ignite Glass Studio – we wanted outdoor space and that’s hard to find in the West Loop! This venue has a garden, a rooftop, and a great reception area – cannot wait for it!
What experience do you want to give to your guests?
FUN FUN FUN – so much fun they can’t handle it!
