Meg & Dave decided to have a Napa Valley Wedding right outside of Geyserville at their friend’s private home. It was a night filled with laughter, amazing light and some poolside dancing.
What’s your story? What are ya’ll into? How do you spend your days? What’s in important in life? etc, etc…
Dave and I met on hinge (dating app!), we were immediately laughing and cracking up over text and
our first date was a blast. So much fun that when he said something funny I accidentally spit water all
over Dave’s face. Like projectile…it was so embarrassing but it was hysterical at the same time. We
reconnected a few months later and the rest is history. We lived together in San Francisco and then moved to our home in Oakland, we love doing house projects, going out with friends, traveling and now we have a puppy who keeps us occupied.
Why do you want to capture your Napa Valley wedding on video?
I love the videos that capture the feeling of the evening, the love and emotion during the ceremony,
the happiness of family and then the fun of the guests.
Why did you pick Hunter Floyd Films to create your wedding film?
Love your style of videos and really trust Olivia who referred you!
The proposal? …Tell me everything (all the gushy details)
Greg proposed to Sofia in her home city of Plantation in South Florida, where her parents still live. We went to We were headed to Paris and London. We had brunch at a hotel with our friends who we went to
Paris with, which led to something afternoon aperol sprtiz and then a nap. I knew we had dinner that
evening and everyone kept saying to wear our nicest outfits and Dave mentioned that he wanted to
walk from our hotel to dinner which I found interesting since I’m the one that always wants to walk
everywhere. As we were walking to dinner I remember him commenting on almost every building and
the architecture (he was nervous!). We then got to the jardin de tuileries outside of Le Louvre. There
was a man with a camera and Dave asked me have him take our photo. So I did and turned around
and he was on one knee, meanwhile that gentleman was our photographer! So he captured some
amazing photos and then we went to some other gardens and the Eifle Tower for more photos. We
called our parents and celebrated at dinner with our best friends. The next morning we left for wine
tasting at Champagne, it was perfect!
The Venue.. What made you choose to have a Napa Valley Wedding?
This is our friends house, they are so generous to offer it to us! After postponing and ultimately
cancelling our Mexico wedding of 150 people, this small intimate setting is going to be beautiful. If
they hadn’t offered, I don’t know what we’d do!
What experience do you want to give to your guests?
We want everyone to have fun! People have traveled so far to celebrate with us – we want everyone to enjoy it and Relaxed and that it flows. I want them to spend a lot of time with Dave and I. With a smaller group and
essentially two cocktail hours (we don’t have a designated dance floor due to covid) we are thinking
that after dinner is basically another cocktail hour to hang out!
